Monocrystalline cells

  • Silicone cut from single silicone crystal
  • Single colour tone
  • Long lasting
  • Cell efficiency around 13% - 20%

Polycrystalline cells

  • Cut from a cast ingot of multi-crystalline silicone
  • Multi-colour patterns
  • Long lasting
  • Cell efficiency around 12% - 14%

Amorphous (thin-film) cells

  • Non-crystalline silicone deposits on the back of a glass with a thin-layered plastic surface, used e.g. in calculators or watches
  • Cell efficiency around 5% -10%
  • Other thin-film technology based on cadmium telluride and CIS (copper indium selenium) is ready for serial production

Solar modules are rated in Watts of output. This wattage rating is derived by multiplying the panel’s peak power voltage times its peak power amperage (Watts = Volts x Amps). These ratings are based on standard test conditions (STC) (radiation of 1000 Watts/square metre of light input, a cell temperature of 25º C and an air mass of 1.5 (AM1.5G)). These standard test conditions are rarely found on “real-life” locations and power output will actually be lower.

Yandalux offers a range of PV modules from different manufacturers, such as:

  • Sharp
  • Sulfurcell
  • and many others
